Karla Martínez
Karla joined Assets Trust in 2011 as a legal assistant and, since 2015, has been entrusted with coordinating and supervising the team that makes up the firm’s Legal Department. In this role, she leads the assignment, review, and follow-up of matters, coordinates interdepartmental interaction, establishes and monitors KPIs for the area, drives process improvements, and manages requests from managers and other supervisors. She also participates in the preparation of proposals and quotations, coordinates billing and balance follow-ups with the Administration team, and ensures consistent and traceable response times for every engagement.
Her career combines both management and legal execution, including the incorporation and maintenance of corporate and fiduciary structures in Panama, BVI, Belize, and the Bahamas, due diligence processes, client relations, and staff supervision (objectives, evaluation, and training). She has led the implementation of internal departmental policies and competitive processes, including being part of the team that secured the award of a trust in a public tender with the State.
She holds a degree in Public Administration from the University of Panama and complements her background with executive programs in Senior Management, certifications in Project Management, Human Resources Management, and Scrum fundamentals, as well as compliance training organized by STEP, the Superintendency of Non-Financial Subjects, and other training institutions.
