Muriel Palma
Muriel has been part of the legal team at Assets Trust since 2022, supporting the key day-to-day management and administration of trust structures of various types under her responsibility. In this role, she ensures that each structure—whether for guarantee, wealth management, or investment purposes—complies effectively and in a timely manner with both contractual agreements and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Her experience combines legal analysis with a high level of organization and operational follow-up, ensuring traceability and control of processes under her responsibility, while reporting directly to business managers.
Her previous professional experience includes roles in local banking and financial institutions, where she performed similar functions and gained expertise in contract drafting, due diligence management, and the coordination of registry and notarial procedures. These experiences strengthen her technical judgment in the administration of fiduciary structures and her ability to anticipate regulatory requirements.
She holds a degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama. She complements her education with professional development programs organized by STEP Panama, ASOCUPA, and CEEDPA, including topics such as Claims Against Trustees: Prevention and Real Cases, Legal Framework of Corporations in Panama, and Contract Law.
